The average person spends hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars on razors, waxing appointments, and depilatory creams over a lifetime. And the results? Stubble by evening, ingrown hairs, razor burn, and irritation that never quite goes away.
Laser hair removal changes the math. Instead of managing hair forever, you reduce it at the root, permanently. After a short series of treatments, most of our clients see a dramatic, lasting reduction in hair growth, with skin smoother than shaving or waxing ever delivered.
At Bodyloom Wellness, we invested in a medical-grade quad-wavelength diode laser system: technology that safely treats the full spectrum of skin tones, from the fairest to the deepest. Older lasers forced a trade-off between safety and results for darker skin. Ours doesn’t.
Every wavelength has a purpose, and every treatment plan is built around your skin, your hair, and your goals, not a generic protocol. It’s one more way we weave advanced technology with genuinely personalized care: the right settings, the right schedule, and the right plan for you.

Every plan starts with a conversation. Your provider will assess your skin tone (using the Fitzpatrick scale), hair color and texture, medical history, and goals, then map out exactly which areas you want treated. This is also where we set honest expectations: how many sessions you’re likely to need, what results look like for your specific hair type, and a transparent breakdown of pricing. No pressure, no surprises.
Based on your assessment, we design your protocol: the right wavelength settings, fluence, and session schedule for your skin and hair. You’ll get simple prep instructions (shave the area 24 hours before, avoid sun exposure and self-tanners) so every session counts.
Sessions are spaced 4–8 weeks apart, timed to catch hair in its active growth phase. Most clients need 6–8 sessions for optimal reduction. Each visit is quick. Underarms can take under 10 minutes, and most people return straight to their day with nothing more than mild, temporary warmth in the treated area.
We send you home with clear aftercare guidance: gentle skincare, sun protection, and what to expect between sessions as treated hairs shed over the following 1–2 weeks. As your series progresses, you’ll watch regrowth become finer, sparser, and slower, until smooth is simply your default. Occasional maintenance sessions keep it that way.

Most clients are surprised by how comfortable it is. Our system’s integrated contact cooling keeps the skin’s surface cool while the laser targets the follicle beneath, so the sensation is typically described as a warm flick or gentle snap. Sensitive areas like the bikini line can be more noticeable, but sessions are fast, and compared to waxing, most clients tell us it’s not even close.
Yes, with the right technology. Older lasers couldn’t safely distinguish between melanin in the hair and melanin in the skin, which made treatment risky for darker skin tones. Our quad-wavelength system includes the 1064nm wavelength, which penetrates deeper and bypasses surface pigment. It’s the long-established gold standard for safely treating Fitzpatrick skin types IV through VI. During your consultation, we assess your exact skin tone and calibrate settings accordingly. Safe, effective treatment is available for you.
Hair grows in cycles, and the laser can only disable follicles that are in their active growth phase at the time of treatment, which is why a series is necessary. Most clients need 6–8 sessions, spaced 4–8 weeks apart, to achieve optimal reduction. Coarse, dark hair on the body tends to respond fastest; finer facial hair may need a few more. Your consultation includes an honest estimate for your specific areas.
The precise, FDA-recognized term is permanent hair reduction, and it’s the honest answer. Treated follicles are disabled long-term, and most clients experience a dramatic, lasting reduction in growth. Some fine regrowth can occur over time (hormonal changes, for example, can activate dormant follicles), which is easily managed with occasional touch-up sessions. What you won’t return to is daily shaving or monthly waxing.
Because every plan is built around your skin, your hair, and the areas you want treated, pricing is personal too. We believe you deserve numbers that reflect your goals, not a generic rate card. During your consultation, your provider will map out your recommended treatment plan and walk you through clear, personalized pricing and package options before you commit to anything. No pressure, no surprises, just an honest conversation about what smooth skin looks like for you. Financing through Cherry is also available.
Simple prep makes every session more effective: shave the treatment area 24 hours before your appointment (the laser needs the follicle intact but no hair above the skin), avoid sun exposure and self-tanners for two weeks prior, and skip waxing, plucking, or threading for at least four weeks. Those methods remove the follicle the laser needs to target. Arrive with clean skin, free of lotions or deodorant in the treatment area.
Absolutely, and many do. Back, chest, shoulders, abdomen, and necklines are among our most popular treatment areas for men, whether the goal is complete smoothness or simply thinning dense growth. Men’s hair is often coarser and denser, which actually responds very well to laser treatment.
There’s no true downtime. Most clients experience mild warmth or pinkness in the treated area, similar to a light sunburn, that resolves within a few hours. You can return to work, errands, and daily life immediately. We recommend avoiding hot showers, saunas, intense workouts, and direct sun exposure for 24–48 hours, and wearing SPF on any treated skin that’s exposed.
During your private consultation at Bodyloom Wellness, your provider will assess your skin tone on the Fitzpatrick scale, review your hair color, texture, and growth patterns, and go over your medical history and any medications. We’ll talk through exactly which areas you want treated and what results to expect for your specific hair type, including how many sessions you’re likely to need. You’ll also get clear, personalized pricing and package options before you commit to anything. No pressure and no commitment, just an honest conversation about your skin, your goals, and whether laser hair removal is right for you.
